Do I have to install new brake pads on my Audi when I replace the brake discs?

Yes. The surface of the pads will wear away and change shape over time. If you use old components together with new ones, it becomes almost impossible to achieve the right fit. This reduces the efficiency of the braking system and can cause a squealing or grinding sound.
