Alfa Romeo 166Alfa Romeo 166 is an executive car. Its assembly was carried out from 1998 to 2007 in Rivalta di Torino, Italy. In total more than 100 thousand cars were produced.
Alfa Romeo 166 I generationPresentation of the Alfa Romeo 166 production model was held in 1998. Development of the car design was led by Walter Maria de Silva. The car body was slightly tilted forward, giving a model spectacular shape. The car was produced exclusively in sedan.

Safety of Alfa Romeo 166 was provided by the anti-lock brake system (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and traction control (ASR), seatbelt pretensioners, and front and side airbags.
If necessary, the driver could adjust the sensitivity of the electronic gas pedal via STR system. Alfa Romeo 166 was also equipped with a traction control system (TCS).
Alfa Romeo 166 I generation restylingIn the fall of 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show the car manufacturer introduced a revamped Alfa Romeo 166. The car received wide air intakes on the front bumper. The dimensions of the central triangular grille section increased, and side sections were removed. The car has received a new xenon lights as well.
To enhance passive safety designers increased body rigidity. The vehicle was equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing system. Better materials were used for trimming. Hi-Fi-sound system with 8 speakers controls have been moved to the steering wheel.
