Info on ALFA ROMEO 33 model - the right selection of spare parts
Alfa Romeo 33Alfa Romeo 33 was a stylish car, the assembly of which was carried out in the period from 1983 to 1994 at the factory in Pomigliano d'Arco, Italy. During production one generation and one restyling of this vehicle were presented. About 1 million cars Alfa Romeo 33 rolled of the assembly line in total.
Alfa Romeo 33 I generationPresentation of the Alfa Romeo 33 concept took place in the spring of 1983, and mass production was established in three months. The vehicle was developed on the Alfasud platform. Initially the car was produced only in a five-door hatchback body, but in the autumn of 1983 at the Frankfurt Motor Show the company introduced an all-wheel drive station wagon, which went on sale in December.
Development of the car design was led by Ermanno Cressoni of the Alfa Romeo style center. Between the wide trapezoidal headlights a grille was located, the central section of which was traditionally carried out in a V-shape. Fog lights were located in shallow niches on the front bumper.
The vehicle was noted for low weight and modest dimensions: curb weight was 978 kg, length - 4074 mm, height - 1350 mm, width - 1614 mm. Body aerodynamics was one of the best in its class - 0.36. The front wheels of Alfa Romeo 33 were equipped with disc type brakes and rear wheels with drum brakes.
In the base configuration the car has received a height-adjustable steering column, a high-quality on-board computer and headlamp washers. However, the car body had weak resistance to corrosion.
Alfa Romeo 33 I generation restylingIn 1986, the manufacturer equipped Alfa Romeo 33 cars with alloy wheels, white direction indicators, a simplified dashboard and an improved steering column. The changes also affected the range of engines.
In 1989, the car received a body-colored grille, a new front bumper design, as well as extra protection against body corrosion. The manufacturer included tinted windows as standard.
Alfa Romeo 33 model production ceased in 1994.
