Info on ALFA ROMEO GT model - the right selection of spare parts
Alfa Romeo GTProduction of Alfa Romeo GT sport car was carried out at the plant in Pomigliano d'Arco, Italy, from 2003 to 2010. A total of almost 81 thousand cars rolled off the assembly line.
The history of the Alfa Romeo GTPresentation of Alfa Romeo GT concept took place in the spring of 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show. The production model came into the market only at the beginning of the next year. The car was based on the platform of Alfa Romeo 156. The design of the car was developed by Gruppo Bertone.
Alfa Romeo GT cars were produced exclusively in the coupe body. In 2003, the company developed a convertible concept based on the Alfa Romeo GT, which was launched only in 2011.
In the development the auto maker paid particular attention to an ergonomic control panel. Adjustable front seats with improved lateral support provided a high level of comfort. Convenience of the back three-seater bench was not so high, but significantly higher than the level of traditional sports coupe.
The engine was placed in the front of the Alfa Romeo GT body, and the drive was at the front pair of wheels. The manufacturer has equipped the car with stiff sport suspension, providing ideal handling.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) were responsible for braking safety. Alfa Romeo GT was also equipped with a system of stability control (VDC), traction control (ASR) and the electronic stability control (ESP).
Basic equipment of Alfa Romeo GT included on-board computer, dual zone climate control, power steering, side and front airbags, cruise control and defroster system. The manufacturer offered leather trim, rain sensor, seat heating and an improved audio system as additional options.
In 2008 the company released a limited number of Alfa Romeo GT Cloverleaf cars, equipped with alloy wheels 18 inches in diameter and updated sports body kit. Release of the model was discontinued in 2010.
