Porsche Cayman

Release of the Porsche Cayman sports coupe began in 2005 and continues until nowadays. Cars are assembled in Germany. Two generations and one restyling of the model have been presented.

Porsche Cayman 987C

Porsche Cayman cars were created on the basis of Porsche Boxster roadster which is produced since 1996. The first generation of the model was presented at the Frankfurt motor show in 2005.

The exterior of the model was similar to Porsche Boxster of the second generation. The car had smooth lines of the body. The car had the extended hood traditional for sports models of the company. The front optics, unlike Porsche Boxster headlights, were rounded. Designers placed small air inlets on each side of the radiator grille, and placed stylish day running lights above them. The design of the rear part, made of stainless steel, was characteristic of sports cars of the company: narrow headlights, the dual muffler placed on the center of the bumper.

For interior trimming, quality materials were used. The interior was decorated with a set of chrome inserts.

The first generation was released from 2005 to 2009.

Porsche Cayman 987C restyling

In 2009 there was a restyling of Porsche Cayman of the first generation. Air inlets got a new shape. Also the shape of the rear bumper was changed. The front optics were elaborated slightly.

Porsche Cayman 981C

The presentation of the second generation of Porsche Cayman took place in 2012 at the motor show in Los Angeles. Release of Porsche Cayman cars of the second generation began a year later. There were updates in the exterior of the car: headlights shape, front and back bumpers, and also air inlets were changed. Fog lights became narrower, with LED lights. The car interior was changed also: deflectors got elongated, they were placed higher, the transmission was changed to the modern one.

Among additional options, there were sports seats, bi-xenon headlights, cruise control, heated front seats and steering wheel, climate control, audio system with voice-activated control etc.
