TOYOTA AYGO parts: find out more! Which ones to choose, when to change them, and how much they cost

Japanese concern releases Toyota Aygo for the European market since 2005 till present. It is manufactured at the joint factory Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech which is located in Kolin, Czech Republic. The name "Aygo" is based on the phrase of "I go" which symbolizes mobility and freedom.

The agreement between the Toyota companies and PSA Peugeot Citroën was signed in 2001. Then there was an idea of coproduction of the small family car only for the European market. The project got the name B-Zero.

For the first time the model was presented at the motor show in Geneva in 2005. Experts of the automobile program "Top Gear" of the BBC TV channel have highly praised maneuverability of the car in city conditions.

Developers offered buyers three packages of the car. Basic package had frontal airbags, anti-lock braking system and a CD player. Plus and Sport Packages had extra security systems of the driver and passengers, built in Bluetooth and the additional air conditioner. The sports package also included a tachometer and fog lights, but in 2007 its production was stopped because of low sales.

Later three more expensive packages were presented: Black, Blue and Platinum based on functionality of Plus package. They included the stylized interior elements, more expensive materials of seats covering and the dashboard.

In 2008 developers have carried out restyling of Toyota Aygo cars. Several modifications were added, the exterior of the front part of the body was slightly changed. Designers changed the shape of the bumper, set new headlights and light signals, and also have changed a hood shape.

The company presented two new packages in 2012: Aygo Go! and Aygo Ice. Basic elements of an interior were covered by alcantara and genuine leather. Also there were chrome plated decorative inserts at the interior and an exterior of a car.

In 2012 small face lifting of the model was carried out. Designers made a bumper more angular so the car became rather aggressive. Also daytime running lights were added to a basic set. In 2012 there was available the most expensive package - Aygo Fire.

The presentation of the second generation of the Toyota Aygo car took place in 2014 at the motor show in Geneva. The design was created on the basis of the elements of the Japanese manga culture. A manga robot Astro Boy made a special impact on designers.

Developers lowered age of the target audience, having turned the family car into the youth car. Designers provided five packages with a large number of additional options.

The front part of the body got a H-shaped form. Head lights were considerably extended and narrowed, and the bumper was increased almost by 1,5 times. The model was available in bodies of 3-and a 5-door hatchback.

Proceeding from the arrangement between the Toyota companies and PSA Peugeot Citroën, it was planned to release about 300 000 copies of the car. It was also released under the names of Citroën C1 and Peugeot 107/108. Cars differed in brand and minor changes in the interior.
