The history of creating Volkswagen Amarok

The exterior design and passenger compartment layout of the model was the work of the famous automobile designer - Walter de Silva. The constructors were actually not interested in revealing the specific features of the design until the very last moment, however, in 2008 images of the car could be found on the internet.
Volkswagen Amarok was publicly presented for the very first time in 2010 on an automobile exhibition in Buenos Aires in Argentina. The car was made in two versions - a two door and a four door pickup model.

The automobile was made in three configurations: Base, Trendline and Highline. The Highline model was equipped with a chrome grille, improved rear-view mirrors, and stylish trims in the passenger compartment. The seats were also upholstered with natural leather.
Due to popularity of the pickup truck the management of Volkswagen decided to produce a few limited editions of the automobile.
Volkswagen Amarok XXL was made with an extended wheelbase, more luggage space, and a more powerful motor.
