2. AUTODOC Policy on Intellectual Property and Other Rights
AUTODOC is committed to ensuring that the AUTODOC Marketplace is a place where both sellers and buyers feel comfortable and get the best out of it. The rights ownership must be indicated and acknowledged in accordance with applicable law.
This AUTODOC Policy on Intellectual Property and other Rights does not constitute any legal or compliance advice by AUTODOC. It is the sole responsibility of the seller to conclusively verify whether the product, and the sole responsibility of each user to conclusively verify whether the information the seller or the user wishes to advertise, offer, sell or post on the AUTODOC Marketplace infringes any Intellectual Property and/or Other Rights of third parties. If AUTODOC receives a report about alleged Illegal Content or finds products, offers, or other content during its random reviews that could constitute Illegal Content, AUTODOC will immediately take the measures provided by law and laid down in the General Terms and Conditions for the AUTODOC Marketplace and inform the affected users according to the legal requirements. Depending on the exact circumstances of the individual case, AUTODOC may in particular temporarily or permanently block or remove offers or other content, or, in particularly serious cases or in the event of repeated violations, temporarily or permanently block sellers and other users from using individual functions or the entire AUTODOC Marketplace. Users affected by such measures by AUTODOC have the possibility to lodge a complaint against such measures and other decisions taken by AUTODOC (including the decision not to take action on a report) using the AUTODOC Internal Complaint-Handling System. 4. AUTODOC Policy on General Conduct
AUTODOC is committed to ensuring that the AUTODOC Marketplace is a place where both sellers and buyers feel comfortable and get the best out of it. To achieve this, it is essential that both sellers and buyers comply with all applicable terms of AUTODOC, the General Terms and Conditions for the AUTODOC Marketplace, and the AUTODOC Policies (together the "AUTODOC Terms") and all applicable laws. Sellers must also comply with the Seller Terms. Buyers are not bound by the Seller Terms. This AUTODOC Policy on General Conduct explains the most important do's and don'ts on the AUTODOC Marketplace.
All offers, activities, and content that violate applicable laws and/or the AUTODOC Terms and/or infringe the rights of third parties (in particular intellectual property rights) (collectively "Illegal Content") are strictly prohibited on the AUTODOC Marketplace (also see the AUTODOC Policy on Prohibited Products and Offers, the AUTODOC Policy on Intellectual Property and other Rights, and the AUTODOC Policy on Ratings).
AUTODOC asks all users to treat each other kindly and with respect. All statements and other content that are likely to deceive, harm, or disparage other persons or other companies or products are prohibited. In particular any language that is offensive, hateful, defamatory, violent or discriminating (in particular on the grounds of color, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, national origin, sex or gender or gender identity or sexual orientation) is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, it is prohibited to engage in any activity that is not aimed at offering spare parts and other accessories for vehicles for sale on the AUTODOC Marketplace by registered sellers or at searching for and purchasing them as a (potential) buyer on the AUTODOC Marketplace. In particular, all activities aimed at collecting information (in particular personal data of other users), contacting other users on other topics or aspects or even harassing them, or concluding business transactions outside the AUTODOC Marketplace are prohibited. Furthermore, it is forbidden to advertise for political, religious, ideological or other subjects, purposes or associations that are not related to the offer and purchase of spare parts or other accessories for vehicles.

5. AUTODOC Policy on Third-Party Seller Ratings
This AUTODOC Policy on Third-Party Sellers Ratings contains information about the most important do's and don’ts regarding ratings of third-party sellers on the AUTODOC Marketplace ("Third-Party Sellers").
On the AUTODOC Marketplace, AUTODOC may offer buyers the possibility to provide feedback in connection with completed transactions with Third-Party Sellers on the AUTODOC Marketplace regarding certain aspects and criteria specified by AUTODOC ("Ratings"). The purpose of the Ratings is to enable other (potential) buyers to obtain the best possible information about products and sellers, and to enable Third-Party Sellers to receive constructive feedback from the buyers and allow AUTODOC to evaluate the Third-Party Sellers' services and performances. However, there is no right to submit a Rating. Ratings can only be provided after the buyer has placed an order with that Third-Party Seller. Third-Party Sellers are excluded from submitting Ratings, even if the sale being rated is the Third-Party Seller's private purchase.
Third-Party Sellers can be rated based on specific criteria designed to evaluate the overall quality of the Third-Party Seller's service. The Rating includes the following:
- General Rating of the Third-Party Seller, assigning a Rating between 1 (lowest) and 5 (highest) stars.
- Explanation (free text field): Buyers are encouraged to provide a brief explanation for their Rating in a free text field, explaining the reasons for their Rating.
- Additional criteria questions that the buyer can answer with Yes or No (if applicable):
- Was the delivery time of the order as expected?
- Did the Third-Party Seller provide accurate shipping and tracking information?
- Was the product securely packaged and in good condition upon arrival?
- Did the product received match the Third-Party Seller's description?
Ratings are collected, stored and displayed to Third-Party Sellers to help them to improve their services and to enable AUTODOC to evaluate the service and performance of Third-Party Sellers. Ratings will not be displayed publicly to buyers in the first phase, but later (e.g., on the Seller Page).
AUTODOC reserves the right to conduct random reviews of Ratings. Once a buyer has submitted a Rating, it cannot be changed. In the event of special circumstances that require a subsequent change or deletion, the buyer who submitted the Rating can contact AUTODOC Customer Service. AUTODOC does not permit incentivised Ratings.
Any Ratings with allegedly illegal content (see also AUTODOC Policy on General Conduct) can be reported to AUTODOC using the dedicated and clearly marked reporting function. AUTODOC will immediately review the report and the reported Rating and take the necessary measures (see also the AUTODOC Policy on Illegal Content Moderation).
AUTODOC is entitled, but not obliged, to ask or encourage buyers to leave Ratings after a transaction has been completed.
All Ratings and communications on the AUTODOC Marketplace must be fair and constructive (see also the AUTODOC Policy on General Conduct). Any misuse of Ratings for improper or illegal purposes is prohibited. Illegal Ratings can be removed immediately. In particular, the following is prohibited:
- Submitting, commissioning and/or coordinating fake Ratings
- nappropriate, irrelevant, or unlawful content, including, but not limited to, insults, threats, discriminatory statements or false allegations, or any other content that violates the AUTODOC Terms (in particular the AUTODOC Policy on General Conduct), applicable law, or the rights of any third party
- The use of the Ratings by the buyer to obtain something from the Third-Party Seller to which the buyer is not entitled
- The inclusion of any addresses (including (hyper)links and email addresses), contact details (including phone numbers) or any other personal data (e.g., names)
- The use of the Ratings for purposes unrelated to the transaction and/or the aspects and criteria requested in the rating system, including advertising for goods, services, and/or third parties
- The Rating of Third-Party Sellers by buyers who have a close relationship with the Third-Party Seller, particularly if the buyer and Third-Party Seller are in an employment relationship, or have a close family relationship or are friends
- The provision of Ratings on behalf of others
- Undue interference by the Third-Party Seller with the buyer to induce the buyer to submit a (good) Rating or to change or remove a submitted Rating, including incentivized Ratings

6. AUTODOC Policy on Packaging, Shipping, and Delivery
This AUTODOC Policy on Packaging, Shipping, and Delivery contains important information about the do’s and don’ts related to the packaging, shipping, and delivering of products sold by third-party sellers on the AUTODOC Marketplace.
All information on packaging, shipping, and delivery of products sold by AUTODOC on the AUTODOC Marketplace are available here.
Shipping Service and Shipping Cost
Sellers are obliged to provide accurate information about the available shipping methods, any extra shipping costs, and delivery times in their seller offers. Unless otherwise stated, all standard shipping costs must be included in the total price of the product. After the purchase contract is concluded, the seller is obliged to ship the purchased products using the shipping method chosen by the buyer and within the specified delivery time. The seller may not deviate from the shipping method chosen by the buyer, unless the buyer has agreed to this voluntarily and without pressure, or the shipping method chosen by the buyer has become impossible to use for a reason for which the seller is not responsible.
In particular, it is prohibited to state in the seller offer shipping costs for priority shipping that are higher than the actual costs incurred by the seller, as well as to charge any shipping costs for standard shipping (as these costs are included in the total price, see above).
Shipping confirmation and tracking information
As soon as the seller has dispatched the sold product for delivery (e.g., by handing it over to the shipping provider), the seller must notify AUTODOC immediately and no later than 12 hours after the product has been dispatched, using the function provided for this purpose in the Seller Account, and provide the following information:
- Name of the shipping provider
- Tracking number
Packaging
Sellers are required to package all products sold on the AUTODOC Marketplace in a reasonable and safe manner appropriate to the type, size and nature of the products and in compliance with applicable laws. The products must be protected inside the packaging with sufficient packaging material.
The shipping package must contain all purchased products, including their components and accessories, as ordered, as well as all information and documents required by the AUTODOC Terms and applicable law, including (where applicable) instructions, product safety, EU Declaration of Conformity, and other important product information, warnings, information and labels for any returns, including the mandatory information about the right of withdrawal, and other consumer protection information. Sellers must ensure that goods are packaged to meet any additional transport safety requirements applicable to returns, including using a sturdy and shockproof shipping box where required, mirroring the obligations that apply to consumers returning goods.
The packaging must bear all legally required information and markings on the outside (including, if applicable, the UKCA and / or CE marking and all required waste symbols and marking, e.g., in the EU, the Trimago Logo), in particular if the products or parts thereof are fragile and/or contain chemicals, liquids, or other hazardous materials.
As far as possible, all products from one order should be packaged and shipped in a single package to simplify delivery for the buyer and for the sake of the environment.
The packaging must not bear any brand and/or name other than the seller's brand or name..
Delivery
AUTODOC recommends that buyers do not make an appointment with a repair shop until the buyer has received the products they have ordered, as delivery times may vary depending on the country of destination, availability of parts, holidays, and the shipping provider.
Buyers are kindly requested to dispose of all packaging and old parts in a responsible manner in accordance with the applicable laws and, in case of doubt, to contact the seller or the AUTODOC Customer Service for further information.

This AUTODOC Policy on Product Safety contains important information about product safety, points of contacts, and the related processes on and with regard to the AUTODOC Marketplace.
This AUTODOC Policy on Product Safety does not constitute any legal or compliance advice by AUTODOC. It is the sole responsibility of the seller to conclusively verify whether the product and/or offer complies with applicable product safety laws and whether the seller in his respective capacity as economic operator (manufacturer, importer, distributor, etc.) meets all applicable requirements in this regard. If a seller is unsure whether all applicable product safety requirements are met, and/or a particular product is safe and compliant, the seller should first seek professional legal advice before advertising, offering or selling the product on the AUTODOC Marketplace.
Product Safety
On the AUTODOC Marketplace it is only allowed to advertise, offer, and sell products and to create offers that are safe and comply with the AUTODOC Terms and all applicable laws (see also the AUTODOC Policy on Prohibited Products and Offers). In particular, all products must comply with the applicable product safety and stewardship laws, including the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, European General Product Safety Regulation ("GPSR") (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) and other applicable product specific legislation. Products that pose a health or safety risk are prohibited. In particular, it is prohibited to advertise, offer, and/or sell products that
- Do not comply with applicable product safety laws (or other laws)
- Have been recalled or withdrawn by the manufacturer and/or any other economic operator in the supply chain

Users can find the relevant seller's product safety information in a clear and easily visible manner in the relevant offer and on the Seller Page of the respective seller, including
- the manufacturer's details (i.e., its name, registered trade name or the registered trademark, the postal and the electronic address),

In addition, AUTODOC has designated a single contact point for direct communication with relevant authorities on product safety issues and submitted this information on the Safety Gate Portal or the UK Product Safety Database (as applicable).
Internal Processes
AUTODOC is registered with the Safety Gate Portal or the UK Product Safety Database (as applicable) and has implemented internal processes for ensuring product safety.
In general, AUTODOC does not review seller's offers before they are posted on the AUTODOC Marketplace, but reserves the right to conduct random reviews. AUTODOC will make reasonable efforts to randomly check in any official, freely accessible and machine-readable online database or online interface whether the products offered have been identified as illegal, in particular using the Safety Gate Portal.
Product safety reports submitted by users to AUTODOC via the reporting function (see also the AUTODOC Policy on Illegal Content Moderation) will be processed by AUTODOC without delay and in any case within three (3) working days of receipt of the report.
Upon receipt of an order from a competent market surveillance authority, AUTODOC will act immediately and in any case within two (2) working days of receipt of the order. AUTODOC will assess the specific product safety case, take the necessary measures and inform the issuing market surveillance authority of the effect given to the order.
Depending on the specific case, order and/or report, AUTODOC will remove offers with affected products from the AUTODOC Marketplace, disable access to them or display an explicit warning. AUTODOC may also be obligated to remove all identical content referring to an offer of the dangerous product in question, to disable access to it or to display an explicit warning, provided that the search for the content concerned is limited to the information identified in the order and does not require AUTODOC to carry out an independent assessment of this content, and that the search and the removal can be carried out in a reasonable manner by reliable automated tools.
Sellers who frequently offer products on the AUTODOC Marketplace that do not comply with this AUTODOC Policy on Product Safety, the AUTODOC Terms and/or applicable laws, in particular product safety laws (e.g., the GPSR or the UK General Product Safety Regulations), will be suspended for a reasonable period of time after having issued a prior warning (see also the AUTODOC Policy on Illegal Content Moderation).
As part of the implemented product safety process, AUTODOC regularly considers information on dangerous products reported by the relevant authorities through the Safety Gate Portal or the UK Product Safety Database, in order to apply AUTODOC's voluntary measures aimed at detecting, identifying, removing or disabling access to the content related to offers of dangerous products on the AUTODOC Marketplace, and to inform the authority that reported the information on Safety Gate Portal or the UK Product Safety Database of any action taken.
AUTODOC cooperates with the relevant authorities, the sellers and with other relevant economic operators to facilitate any action taken to eliminate or, if that is not possible, to mitigate the risks posed by a product that is or has been offered on the AUTODOC Marketplace, in particular by taking the following measures:

8. AUTODOC Policy on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
This AUTODOC Policy on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) explains what Extended Producer Responsibility means and the most important do's and don'ts for Sellers to comply with the AUTODOC Terms and the applicable EPR legislation.
This AUTODOC Policy on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) only provides a rough general overview of possible requirements and aspects that sellers may have to comply with on EU level. However, these may be specified and/or differ from one EU Member State to another.
This AUTODOC Policy on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) does not constitute any legal or compliance advice by AUTODOC. It is the sole responsibility of the seller to conclusively verify whether the seller and/or the product (including the packaging) and offer comply with all applicable EPR laws and whether the seller meets all applicable requirements in this regard. If a seller is unsure whether all applicable EPR requirements are met or what exactly to do, the seller must first seek professional legal advice before advertising, offering or selling the product on the AUTODOC Marketplace.
EPR – Background and Legislation
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an environmental policy approach to minimize environmental impact over the entire product life cycle and to include all estimated environmental costs associated with a product throughout its life cycle to the product's market price. The aim is to shift responsibility for a product’s lifecycle (including design, take-back, recycling, and final disposal) to the producer. In this context, "producer" has a broad meaning and can include manufacturers, importers, distributors, and sellers.
In the EU, there is a growing body of EPR legislation, some of which is directly applicable and some of which is implemented into national law. These include in particular the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive 94/62/EC (soon to be repealed by the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE Directive), the European Batteries and Accumulators Directive 2006/66/EC and the European Batteries and Waste Batteries Regulation (EU) 2023/1543. The European Commission provides more information on this and on waste and recycling, including an overview of all EU waste-related legislation here. In addition, there are numerous EU Member State laws that implement and/or supplement the above EU laws.
In the UK, there is a growing body of EPR legislation. These include the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging and Packaging Waste) Regulations 2024 the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 (as amended), the Batteries and Accumulators (Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008 (as amended) and the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009.
The EPR applies to numerous different types of products (i.e., EPR categories). The most common categories are packaging, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and batteries/accumulators (see the sections below).
These products may only be advertised, offered, or sold on the AUTODOC Marketplace if the seller and the products (including the packaging) meet all applicable EPR requirements. The Extended Producer Responsibilities are manifold and differ considerably between EU Member States and the UK and therefore, need to be assessed individually by the seller with regard to all relevant EU Member States and the UK. This may include the registration in national waste management systems, the provision of the registration numbers and further information (including documentation of proof) during the onboarding process to the AUTODOC Marketplace or thereafter, the provision of further information to customers and (national) waste management systems, and the financial contribution to such systems. This may also include taking back waste and/or used products when offering or selling products and providing information about this possibility. The Extended Producer Responsibilities also include the respective labelling requirements under the EPR legislation.
AUTODOC may request proof of required registrations within the listing process. In addition, AUTODOC may randomly check the sellers’ compliance with all applicable EPR legislation and the corresponding national law during the onboarding process and afterwards.
EPR for Packaging
The term "packaging" generally includes all products used for the containment, protection, handling, delivery, and presentation of goods, regardless of their material. The EPR on packaging applies to all users of packaging, including sellers on the AUTODOC Marketplace since sellers use packaging to ship their products to the buyers.
In most EU Member States and the UK, sellers must register and participate in a packaging system. Sellers receive a registration number which must be provided during the onboarding process. Sellers must contribute financially to the collection, treatment and recycling of packaging. AUTODOC may ask for documentation as proof and further information. In addition, the seller may be required to report the amount of packaging waste generated each year to the competent authority. Sellers must also ensure that the packaging used complies with all applicable labelling requirements and that any reporting obligations regarding packaging quantities to the competent authorities are met.
EPR for Batteries
The EU EPR battery legislation generally applies to all "producers" of batteries. However, the term "producer" also includes any distributor or seller of batteries or products containing such batteries.
"Batteries" are all categories of batteries, including
- Portable batteries
- Starting, lighting and ignition batteries (SLI batteries)
- Light means of transport batteries (LMT batteries)
- Electric vehicle batteries
- Industrial batteries
Registration will be mandatory for producers (incl. sellers) in all EU Member States by 18 August 2025 at the latest. However, registration is already mandatory in several EU Member States and the UK. Sellers receive a registration number which must be provided during the listing process on the AUTODOC Marketplace. AUTODOC may ask for documentation as proof and further information. Producers (incl. sellers) also must contribute financially to the collection, treatment and recycling of batteries, report on batteries and waste batteries, and provide specific information to customers and waste management operators. Compliance with all applicable marking labelling requirements such as the marking with the crossed-out wheeled bin must be ensured.
EPR for Electronic and Electrical Equipment
The EPR legislation on electronic and electrical equipment (EEE) applies to "producers" of EEE. However, the term "producer" also includes any distributor or seller established in the EU who sells EEE under his own name or trademark, as well as any (re)seller established in a third country but selling EEE within the EU or the UK.
EEE may include
- Large and small household appliances
- IT and telecommunications equipment
- Consumer equipment and photovoltaic panels
- Lighting equipment
- Electrical and electronic tools (excluding large stationary industrial tools)
- Toys, leisure and sports
- monitoring and control instruments
- Automatic dispensers
Producers (including sellers) must register in national systems of the respective EU Member State or in the UK. Upon registration, sellers receive a registration number which must be provided during the listing process on the AUTODOC Marketplace. AUTODOC may ask for documentation as proof and further information. Sellers must also make financial contributions to the collection, treatment and recycling of EEE and may be required to take back used EEE and to inform the customers of this possibility when offering or selling new EEE. Further, reports on the type and the number of EEE manufactured, distributed or sold on a regular basis must be submitted to the competent national authorities and compliance with all applicable marking labelling requirements such as the marking with the crossed-out wheeled bin must be ensured. In addition, sellers must provide further specific information to customers and national EEE waste management systems, which may include their registration number on invoices.

9. AUTODOC Policy on Energy Labeling
This AUTODOC Policy on Energy Labeling contains the most important information about energy labeling of products sold by sellers on the AUTODOC marketplace.
This AUTODOC Policy on Energy Labeling only provides a general overview of possible requirements and aspects that sellers may have to comply with on EU and UK level. However, these may be specified and/or differ from one country to another.
This AUTODOC Policy on Energy Labeling does not constitute any legal or compliance advice by AUTODOC. It is the sole responsibility of the seller to conclusively verify whether the product and offer comply with all applicable energy labeling laws and whether the seller meets all applicable requirements in this regard. If a seller is unsure whether energy labeling legislation applies to a particular product, and if so, whether all applicable energy labeling requirements are met or what exactly needs to be done, the seller should first seek professional legal advice before advertising, offering or selling the product on the AUTODOC Marketplace.
At EU level, there are many regulations on energy labeling. The basic requirements for the energy labeling of energy-related products are set out in the European Energy Labeling Regulation (EU) 2017/1369, which establishes a framework for energy labeling. In addition, specific energy labeling requirements for certain product groups (e.g., light sources, electronic displays) are defined in delegated regulations of the EU Commission. In addition, there are other EU energy labeling regulations that are independent of the European Energy Labeling Regulation, including in particular the European Regulation (EU) 2020/740 on the labeling of tires with respect to fuel efficiency and other parameters.
In the UK, there are many regulations on energy labeling. The basic requirements for the energy labeling of energy-related products are set out in the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (as amended), which establishes a framework for energy labeling. In addition, specific energy labeling requirements for certain product groups (e.g., light sources, electronic displays) are defined in additional regulations. In addition, there are other EU energy labeling regulations, including Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 and the Motor Vehicles (Tyre Labelling and Enforcement) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.
All regulations contain energy labeling obligations for suppliers and sellers. This includes, in particular, how the energy consumption must be displayed to the buyer, which labels and information sheets must accompany the product, what the energy label must look like, etc. Manufacturers and sellers may have different requirements. For example, for the EU, it is the sole obligation of the manufacturer to register the product in the European Product Database for Energy Labeling (EPREL). However, it is the seller's obligation to check whether the product is an energy-related product and whether it falls under one of the regulations.
In cases where energy labels must be provided with the offer on the AUTODOC Marketplace and/or delivered with the product, sellers must use exactly the specific energy label as provided in the given regulation (e.g., colors, sizes and texts must not deviate from the templates).
