BEEPER RK018/8 Parking sensors kit Vehicle Front, Vehicle Rear, Number of sensors: 8

The RK018/8 radar allows the detection of front & rear obstacles. The LCD display indicates the distance in meters and the position of the obstacle by sensors. A progressive audible alert allows to identify the risk of proximity of the obstacle. The neat design of the interface allows it to fit perfectly on your dashboard.

For an increased comfort
The front & rear detections are independent and do not work at the same time in order not to disturb the driver. The rear detection is automatically activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse and stops when the vehicle is shifted into forward gear. Front detection is activated automatically when the brake pedal is pressed and is delayed for 10 seconds: when you park your vehicle in forward gear (e.g., at the cob), any front impact is avoided.

It is possible to deactivate the front sensors thanks to a switch provided in the kit to avoid unwanted activations during rain, snow or hail. The front sensors detect any obstacle from 30 cm.

Installation of the sensors

The sensors must be placed at least 50 cm from the ground. Indeed, sensors placed lower will detect the ground, which will generate unwanted triggers.

The sensors can be covered with a coat of paint for a perfect finish.

WARNING - VEHICLES THAT DO NOT ALLOW A CONSUMER TO BE CONNECTED TO THE BACK-UP LIGHT HARNESS
On certain vehicles the +12 V Backup light is parasitic when the engine is running what can disturb the good operation of the radar kit of back up. In other cases, this +12 V Backup Light does not allow any additional consumer.
For all these vehicles, Beeper has developed the RCANR2 module to retrieve the +12 V Backup Light information from the CANBUS network. This module connects to the CANBUS of the compatible vehicle and delivers a +12V Backup Light for the connection of a backup camera.
