Chevrolet Trax, the smallest crossover of the Chevrolet lineup, is produced since April 2013. The assembly is carried out at plants in Mexico, China and South Korea. The car has a five-star rating by the results of the Euro NCAP crash tests passed in 2013.

Presentation of the compact crossover concept, constructed on the Gamma II platform, was held at the Paris Motor Show in 2012. The production version was presented to the public in 2013 at the North American International Auto Show.

The body of the car is with abrupt lines, intentionally rough, with a wide radiator grille, bumpers of impressive size, bulging rear fenders, roof railings and protective bodykit of unpainted plastic along the perimeter. The Chevrolet Trax interior is made mostly of hard plastic, all parts are carefully adjusted to each other. Front seats with little lateral support have four areas of adjustment in the standard car and six in the more expensiveones. A three-spoke steering wheel is multifunctional, on the front panel there are both digital and analog devices.

Thanks to the folding seats (both the rear and front passenger), there are 8 options of interior transformation, depending on the size of the transported luggage. Besides the Chevrolet Trax cabin provides lots of compartments and pockets for storing small things, including a special compartment under the passenger seat and a storage space under the luggage compartment floor.

Even in the basic package the Chevrolet Trax cars are equipped with six airbags and anti-lock braking systems, assistance in moving uphill and downhill, the vehicle stabilizing system when towing a trailer.

Chevrolet Trax is sold under the name Chevrolet Tracker in Russia (due to the cacophony of the original title in Russian) and Brazil (T-Rax is the name of the drug type in this country). In Australia and Oceania the crossover is called Holden Trax.
