Volvo V60 cars’ production has been held since 2010 till nowadays. For today it is presented one generation of these cars and one restyling. A model is being produced in a station wagon body. Volvo V60 cars are being created on the plants in Belgium and Sweden.

Volvo V60 cars’ debut was held at the Paris Motor Show in 2010. The car was built on the second-generation Volvo S60 sedan’s base – from which Volvo V60 station wagon has inherited a design, proportions and technical characteristics. Taillights of a complicated shape were a distinctive feature of an exterior.

Cabin differed in its spaciousness and ergonomics. Sport seats with advanced lateral support had a big range of adjustments. Central console, decorated with wood and aluminum inserts, was turned to the driver. It was possible to turn off a blind spot information system or lane keeping system pushing a button on a central console. There were multimedia system screens, integrated into the head restraints. An interior was trimmed with leather and soft plastic. Natural wooden and aluminum inserts were used for decorations.

Basic package of Volvo V60 consisted of an electronic climate-control system, heating of seats, mirrors and rear window, cabin filter, front and side safety airbags, brake assist system, dynamic stability and traction control systems, cruise-control system and etc. As additional options there were proposed an audio system with eight speakers, laminated glasses with water-resistant coating, leather upholstery, a Nivomat automatic level control system, monitoring of blind zones.

The first-generation cars were being produced till 2013.

Volvo V60 cars’ restyling was held in 2013. Changes took place in a design of a front part: new headlights, different radiator grille and different bumpers appeared. Hybrid modification of Volvo V60 D6 Plug-In Hybrid Polizei, produced in 2013, was used by Swedish police as a company car.

Modification of Volvo V60 Cross Country was produced in 2015. It was different from other estate cars with higher clearance, styling of radiator grille and plastic spoilers on wheel arches.
