D.W.: Hi. My question is about the Bosch fuel sender. Should the variable resistance rail be showing an ohms reading of 190 from the bottom of the float position or at halfway?
I have bought 3 of these sender gauges new and none of them show resistance readings on my multimeter on the bottom half of the rail. Yet the original that i took from the car to replace shows resistance to the bottom but its low-end resistor is failing hence why i need to replace it.
If the new part should also read resistance across the entire variable resistor rail then it means all 3 brand new Bosch sender units i have purchased from different motor factors have had the same fault, which is crazy.
If you know the answer to this mystery then i'll buy one from you, and ask that it be given extra padding inside the box and outside in case the 3 i bought have been damaged in shipping.
