Parts for your BUICK car
Buick is an American trademark that produces passenger cars, mostly of the premium segment, since 1903. It is the oldest brand in the USA. Nowadays it belongs to the General Motors concern.
History
The brand was created thanks to David Dunbar Buick born in the family of a Scottish immigrant; in 1899 he founded his own motor manufacturing company. In 1902 he decided to reorganize it and switch to production of cars. In 1904 William Crapo Durant, the future founder of General Motors, headed the company. And since 1908, it has been a subsidiary of the concern. Popularity of Buick cars started growing since that moment. Sales volume reached more than 8,000 car units. In 1923, in honour of its 20th anniversary, the company produced the millionth car. The daily production output of the company’s factories was 550 cars.
During the whole period of its evolution, the company actively introduced innovative solutions. Starting from the overhead valve (OHV) motor in 1904, it became the world’s first company to begin using turn indicators. Since 1948, cars of the brand could be equipped with an automatic transmission. In 1967 the manufacturer was among the first to equip their cars with radial type tyres.
Electra, Roadmaster, LeSabre, Riviera and others became the most popular models of the make. Nowadays, the countries where demand for Buick cars is the world’s highest are the USA, Canada, Mexico and China.

Distinctive features
- Safety. Safety Alert Seat system, which uses vibrating devices built in the driver seat to warn about potentially dangerous traffic changes, is a very interesting technological solution.
- Design. Some original stylistic features of the brand’s cars are preserved since the 40s. These are VentiPorts – four holes on the front fenders, and a special element of the shape of the body sides – Sweepspear, the top line of which goes down from the fender to the rear wheel, and then goes up to the lights.
- Comfort. Seats of the modern cars have the position memory function and are heated. Triple seal technologies and acoustic windscreen provide excellent sound-proofing.
- Rich equipment list. As early as by 60’s, many Buick cars could boast a leather interior, bucket seats with electric adjustment, as well as two-speed windscreen wipers, heater, boosters for brakes and steering wheel. Modern models are notable for a vast selection of infotainment technologies, safety systems, and comfort-enhancing functions.
