Parts for your RENAULT car
The Renault Group is one of the leading representatives of the global automotive industry, and produces cars, vans, and trucks. Six Renault models have won the European Car of the Year award and seven more were in the top three. Renault cars have repeatedly won the highest rating in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
Renault carsRenault’s history began in 1898 when Louis Renault built a car using a De Dion-Bouton engine and added his own revolutionary invention: the gearbox. Soon Louis with his brothers registered the Renault Frères company and established a small-scale production of vehicles outfitted with the driveshaft on hinges and turbocharger they had developed.
In 1905, the Renault Frères company, that had already become the largest car manufacturer in Europe, received an order from the French government for 250 taxis, which led to the first test of the conveyor plant, and a year later the first Renault bus was presented.
During the First World War, Renault’s vehicles formed the mainstay of the “Taxis of the Marne”. The company switched to the production of aircraft engines and the revolutionary Renault FT tank. After the Second World War, Renault was nationalised by the French government. Quickly recovering from the war-time devastation, Renault presented a revolutionary car body design to the world in 1965: the hatchback.
At present Renault owns the companies Dacia, Samsung Motors, as well as a solid stake in Nissan. Around 200 countries import the company’s wide selection of cars: saloons, estate cars, hatchbacks, mini-crossovers, minivans, as well as trucks and race cars.
