Dacia LodgyProduction of Dacia Lodgy started in 2012 and is continued nowadays. Today the producer presented one generation of the model in bodies of the five-seater and seven-seater minivan. Assembling of cars is organized at the plant of the Renault company in Tangier, Morocco.
History of Dacia Lodgy creationThe concept of Dacia Lodgy was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. In 2012 at the same auto show the series car was presented. It was the minivan of 4498 mm in length, in width — 1826 mm, in height — 1684 mm. With the folded backs of rear seats, it was possible to increase the trunk volume from 827 to 2617 l.
The design of Dacia Lodgy exterior was modern. The front part of the car was decorated by a massive false radiator grill with the chromeplated unit which was framed by block headlights of irregular shape. Round fog lights and large radiator grill were integrated into the front bumper. Tail lights of an unusual form and the fifth door with big glass were distinctive feature of Dacia Lodgy exterior.
In the interior of the car there were inexpensive, but qualitative materials which created feelings of style and reliability. The following options were included in a basic Dacia Lodgy modification: airbags of four types, anti-lock brake system (ABS), electric drive of side mirrors, air conditioner, on-board computer. As additional options, the navigation system with the touch display, mulmediyny system with USB and Bluetooth were offered.
By results of EuroNCAP tests, the Dacia Lodgy cars had three stars that became the worst result for the European cars in 2012. By results of LatinNCAP, the model had one point only.
In October, 2014, at the Paris Motor Show the Dacia Lodgy Stepway car was presented. The car was constructed on the Dacia B0 platform with a long wheelbase.
The interior of the car differed in an blue embroidery on chairs, a blue edging of the dashboard, central console and spokes of the steering wheel. The list of the standard equipment included rear sensors of the parking assistant, navigation and multimedia systems, a cruise control system.
