The Fulda Kristall Control HP 2 is a mid-priced winter tire aimed at drivers of standard passenger cars. This tire was evaluated in several independent tests by both ADAC and ÖAMTC and showed a balanced performance with particular strengths in economy.

Performance on snow
In reviews of winter roads, the Kristall Control HP 2 secures an overall good rating thanks to its good braking performance on snow and ice. In terms of traction on snow and handling, however, it does not achieve more than satisfactory results. The test car cannot be steered very precisely, which means that the limit range is also narrow. On wet roads, the Fulda was only rated satisfactory overall. While it still scores good marks for its aquaplaning behavior, it does not achieve more than a satisfactory rating for braking and even a sufficient rating for handling. The ÖAMTC rated the dry performance with an overall score of 2.4 with a weighting of 15%. Handling on dry roads achieved a score of 2.3, while driving safety was also rated at 2.3. Braking on dry roads received a score of 2.8, with the ADAC highlighting the precise and safe characteristics at the limit on dry roads as a strength.

The braking performance of the Fulda Kristall Control HP 2 varies considerably depending on the road conditions. On dry roads, the braking distance is rated as good. On wet roads, the tire's braking performance does not exceed a satisfactory rating.
