Citroën C1Citroën C1 is produced since 2005 till present. Two generations of the model and two restylings are presented nowadays. Release of cars is organized in Colin, Czech Republic.
Citroën C1 I generationRelease of Citroën C1 of the first generation was organized in 2005-2008. The debut of the model took place in 2005 within the Geneva motor show. The car succeeded Citroën Saxo and was the most compact car in the model range of Citroën. The design of the car was bright and recognizable. Glass trunk lid and a special design of the rear door were the distinctive features of an exterior. Windshields fell/rose by means of power windows. Back windows were hinged casement. The range of bodies consisted of three - and five-door hatchbacks.
It was decided to refuse technological excesses in the design of Citroën C1. All units were regulated manually, except for windows. Inner trimming in expensive package alcantara and leather inserts were used. The inner surface of doors was trimmed by plastic: there were metal elements painted in a body colour.
Citroën C1 I generationCitroën C1 cars were restyled twice: in 2008 and 2012. During the first modernization the front bumper was changed a little, fog lights had a new fringing.
The second restyling of Citroën C1 was shown within the Brussels motor show in January, 2012. Changes concerned design of the nose: there were bumpers with air inlets, scuttle board became shorter. Day running lights had the form of LED vertical strips. These cars were released till 2014.
Citroën C1 II generationThe second generation of the model was presented in 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car was increased in sizes and had the updated design. In front part double headlights and a massive bumper were allocated. Also the shape of tail lights was changed. All cars of the second generation were equipped with the seven-inch touch screen and the Mirrorlink technology providing continuous communication between the smartphone and multimedia system. There were new options of an inner trim.
Citroën C1 in the markets of the different countriesThis model has twins. At the same plant, Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo cars are manufactured.
