Hyundai GrandeurHyundai Grandeur is a sedan of an executive class which has been produced since 1986 up till nowadays.
Initially the car was manufactured only in the city of Asanas, South Korea. Starting with the third generation, this model is assembled in the Czech Republic and Turkey.
Hyundai Grandeur LThe model was created within the partner agreement between Hyundai and Mitsubishi corporations. At the same time cooperation was mutually advantageous: the management of the Hyundai company sought to release the executive class car before the Olympic games in Seoul in 1988. And management of the Mitsubishi company wanted to update the already existing model which hadn’t been changed since 1964. The sedan, differing in effective design and high level of comfort, became the result of this cooperation.
Hyundai Grandeur LXThe second generation of the Hyundai Grandeur cars in 1992 had completely restyled design and advanced technical characteristics.
Designers smoothed acute angles in the model’s forms, and also changed the front part of a body: headlights became longer, and a radiator grill — more convex. A bumper and cowl remained invariable.
Hyundai Grandeur XGThe third generation of the model was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1998. The car began to be exported in large quantities to the markets of other countries. It was constructed on the Hyundai EF platform.
The model had the updated design: it had headlights of teardrop shape and the large radiator grill. Engineers also improved auxiliary systems of engines so the power of the car was increased.
Hyundai Grandeur XG restylingIn 2002 developers carried out the restyling of the model. They considerably improved the fuel system and added a number of modifications. The exterior and technical characteristics of the model practically didn't change.
The car had a number of additional options: heating of seats, a panoramic roof, a stereo system, the electric drive of rear-view mirrors, the parking and traffic assistants.
Hyundai Grandeur TGThe fifth generation of Hyundai Grandeur was presented in Seoul in 2005. The car was based on the XG350 platform which was also used for Hyundai Sonata creation. Designers narrowed headlights, shortened the radiator grill and smoothed the form of bumpers. The form of side panels and rear-view mirrors was also changed.
Hyundai Grandeur TG restylingDuring the restyling of 2010, the car got a new radiator grill, 17-inch wheel disks, LED headlights, new rear-view mirrors, restyled dashboard and a wide number of additional options.
Hyundai Grandeur HGThe car of the sixth generation was presented in 2011 in New York. In creation of an exterior developers used a new design style under the name "Grand Glide". Headlights had an elongated shape, the radiator grill became convex. The bumper, fog lights, fenders and wheel arches were also restyled. Engineers installed an adaptive cruise control system and semi-automatic parking and traffic assistants.
In 2013 the management of the company presented a hybrid version of the Hyundai Grandeur car.
Hyundai Grandeur HG restylingDuring the restyling of 2014, a rear-view camera, system of geonavigation, automatic rear-view mirrors entered into the equipment of the car. Also developers improved materials of inner trimming.
Hyundai Grandeur in the markets of the different countriesIn the European markets the Hyundai Grandeur car was imported under the name Hyundai Azera. The first and second generation of the model were also known as Mitsubishi Debonair.
