The production of the Isuzu Midi commercial cars ran from 1986 to 1995. During this time, a generation and a restyling of the car have been presented. The production lines were located on the IBC Vehicles Ltd plant in Luton, Britain.

The commercial Isuzu Midi cars have come to the market in 1986. In essence, the model was an European analogue of the Isuzu Fargo cars that have been produced in Japan since 1980. The car looked stylish and elegant despite the simplicity of its exterior. An aerodynamic body with bulging windows and rounded bumpers lent the car an air of modernity and ensured good air resistance coefficients. The front turn indicators, mounted into the molding, were placed above the headlights.

The passenger compartment perfectly merged comfort with practicality. A high position and a large glazing area offered great visibility. In the basic package, the car was equipped with power windows, an ABS system and air conditioning.

Van and microbus body variants were available.

In 1989, a restyling of the Isuzu Midi has been conducted. The exterior has seen slight changes. A more substantial redesign touched the interior - the dashboard, seats and the door panels have been updated. The transmission lever has been shifted closer to the central console, which made it possible to install an additional seat. Since 1993, three-point rear safety belts and an air conditioning system began to be installed in the car. The body line-up has remained unchanged. The production of Isuzu Midi cars lasted until 1996.

The Isuzu Midi cars are also known under other other names. In Australia, the model was sold as Holden Shuttle, in Britain - Bedford Midi and Vauxhall Midi. In some European countries, the model was known as General Motors Midi, Bedford Seta and GME Midi.
