Renault KoleosThe Renault Koleos crossovers of the French Renault brand were released since 2008. In total one generations of the model and two restyling variants were presented. Release of Renault Koleos was adjusted in South Korea (Busan), India (Chennai) and Russia (Moscow). In March, 2015 it was decided to stop the production of these cars for the European market . Renault Koleos crossovers for the Asian market are still assembled.
Renault Koleos I generationThe Renault Company thought about compact crossover creation long before the releasing of Renault Koleos. In 2000 the Renault Koleos Concept car was shown at the motor show in Geneva. The car became the embodiment of futuristic design: small triangular windows, smoothly varying outlines, arched roof, chopped forms made the car form rather dynamic. But this concept did not go on sale and in 2006 the second concept of Renault Koleos was shown at the Parisian motor show. It became a prototype for creation of the stock model debuting at the Geneva auto exhibition in 2008.
The design of the Renault Koleos crossovers was sustained in style, classical for the French brand: large nose, large headlights, firm radiator grille, larger glazing area. The universality of the car was emphasized with convex wheel arches and relief sidewalls. The car interior differed in roominess and comfortableness. Convenient seats with armrests and adjustable driver's seat provided comfortable landing and good vision. Little transforming tables hid in backs of front seats at uselessness were provided for the back passengers.
Renault Koleos had a rich complete set. There were cruise control and climate control systems, sensors of light and rain, the parking system, keyless engine start system, six airbags, blind spot monitoring system, adaptive front lighting system and so on. In the most expensive complete sets aluminum running board were set.
Renault Koleos I generation restylingsRestyling of Renault Koleos cars of the first generation debuted at the Frankfurt motor show in 2011. The design of the nose of the car was considerably changed. Large U-shaped radiator grille with the chrome plated covering, the updated bumpers and headlights were set at these cars. There was an alternative variant of body colouring — bright Orange Cayenne. The dashboard was updated.
In 2013 there was the second restyling of the model. The car was presented at the motor show in Buenos Aires. Changes concerned a bumper, a radiator grille and headlights.
Direction indicators repeaters were integrated into mirror housings and stylish chrome plated mouldings appeared at the each side of the car.
