For this, a special agent should be added to cooling liquid into the expansion tank, and then the engine should be warmed up until it reaches the working temperature, then you need to wait until it cools down, and only after this you should drain antifreeze, having unscrewed the radiator drain plug and having put a container of sufficient volume under it in advance.
The thermostat and connecting pipes should be replaced together with a new radiator. Moreover, you need to visually inspect the support mounts: if they got cracked or hardened – they also should be replaced with new ones.
