Chevrolet Agile is a five-door hatchback, designed by the Brazilian unit of Chevrolet and built at a plant in Rosario, Argentina, since 2009 only for the South American market.

In 2008, at the Motor Show in Sao Paulo the GPiX Concept car was presented. The production Chevrolet Agile car went on sale in 2009.

In the South American market the model was available in four trim levels:

• LS (base: included manual air conditioning, power steering, a trip computer, cruise control, an audio unit, steel wheels with plastic trim 185/65 R15);
• LT (enhanced equipment: central locking, power front windows with one touch system, a height-adjustable steering column, burglar alarm);
• LTZ (luxe: power rear windows with one touch system, multifunction steering wheel, tinted headlights, alloy wheels 195/55 R16);
• Effect (in fact, the same LTZ, but with a sporty accent: spoilers, interior elements, executed in red, exclusive wheels, the Effect nameplates on the body).

In August 2013 the Chevrolet Agile had a restyling. The interior changes were minor: there were new finishing materials, as well as a refreshed instrument panel. The exterior changes were more prominent: new bumpers, headlights, a grille.

As for safety, the Chevrolet Agile cars, equipped with only two airbags and standard brakes with ABS, have nothing to boast. According to the results of crash tests conducted by Latin NCAP in 2013, the Chevrolet Agile cars received a failing grade: the safety of the child in the car was rated with only two stars, and the adult occupant safety was entirely zero. Unfortunately, this is a standard level of safety of inexpensive cars produced in Latin America.
